A Reporter “Saved” An Elderly Man Whose Car Was Sinking In A Flood

by onApril 21, 2016

When a large flood happened in Houston Texas on 18th of April, this elderly man got a bit confused as to whether his Prius was a boat or not and drove into what looks like a river!

Floating for some time, you can hear the reporter start to worry if the man is going to exit the vehicle. Finally the door opens and out pop what looks like the real life version of the old guy from UP. Seemingly confused, the reporter starts to yell at him to get out of the car and swim?

The poor old guy doesn’t seem to understand that he needs swim away as the car is going to sink…or maybe he just had a sandwich in there he didn’t want to leave behind. He asks politely what he should do and if he should stay with the car…Again the reporter yells for him to swim!

Finally he jumps from the car and breast strokes his way to the shallows like Michael Felps (he didn’t even swim the breast stroke..but whatever).

Storms have dumped more than a foot of rain in the Houston area, flooding dozens of neighborhoods and forcing the closure of city offices and the suspension of public transit. (April 18)

Once the old man is safely in the shallows the reporter runs over in an attempt to make it appear as if he saved him and get his big shot on live TV to be a hero…I guess he really did save him though, as I don’t think that old guy would have got out of the car if he didn’t yell ha him to.
