The SpaceX Flacon 9 rocket that successfully landed on a floating ship for the first time has just done it again! And this time with a much more difficult landing.
Carrying a Japanese communications satellite (JCSAT-14), the rocket had to reach an extremely high orbit, which makes re-entry and landing a bit more difficult due to a faster and hotter re-entry.
SpaceX themselves stated that they were not confident that the landing would bet stuck…but oh boy did it stick it! Watching live, you could hear the cheers and incredible amount of excitement coming from the SpaceX engineers.
You can watch SpaceX’s live feed below where they will be covering the rest of the placing of the JCSAT-14 satellite. We’ll post recorded footage of the landing when it comes out.
